Crisis Resources and Sites to Find a Provider
It can be extremely stressful and time consuming to find a mental health provider that meets all of your needs. On this page, we aim to provide the resources that we have found to be the most meaningful. If we are not in network with your insurance, or if our practice doesn’t have someone who fits your needs, we hope the information below will be helpful to you. Additionally, there are now urgent care facilities that specialize in mental health. If you are experiencing a mental health situation that requires urgent support, one of the clinics listed below will be able to best address your symptoms. If you are not near one of these facilities, you can go to a regular urgent care.
If you are in crisis, please call the crisis line at 9-8-8 to get immediate help. You can also go to the nearest emergency room for urgent care.

The website Psychology Today is an excellent, time-saving platform to use when you are searching for a mental health professional. When you visit the website, there are a few tips to keep in mind:
The default on Psychology today is to search for a therapist. If you are looking for a prescriber, you will need to change the search parameter from “Therapist” to “Psychiatrist” before you specify the geographic location that you want to query.
You can set a wide variety of filters to customize your results specifically to your needs. We recommend setting a filter for your insurance, and any other parameter that feels important to you (do you prefer virtual vs in person appointments, for example). The more filters you apply, the fewer results you will get, so only set filters for the things that are important.
SPECIAL NOTE: If you have a Coordinated Care/Apple Health/Medicaid plan, It is best to specify “Medicaid” in the insurance filter rather than selecting your specific carrier (such as Molina or United Healthcare). Anyone who accepts Medicaid will accept any of the plans.
